Hannah smashes her Triathlon targets

Hannah Ritterband completed her first London Triathlon on Sunday 23rd July. Cheered on by a posse of family and friends Hannah swam, cycled and ran the course in an amazing 2 hrs and 58 mins!  Not only did she make good time, she has also doubled her fundraising target, having made so far about £1,000 (with GiftAid)!  Hannah’s Just Giving Page

She was motivated to undertake the challenge by the plight of her close friend James, a 17 year old undergoing treatment for an inoperable brain tumour.  Hannah says that James “is absolutely smashing his treatment – and will continue to kick that tumour’s butt! James is amazing, and has not complained about anything he is going through and is just taking it all in his stride!  I can not even imagine how hard it is for anyone affected by a brain tumour. The fact that brain tumours affect more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer is just awful”
