16th Amber Ball makes a record £53,000

BTRC’s generous supporters helped swell the charity’s coffers by a staggering £53,000 at the 16th Amber Ball on 14th June

What a night!

The sparkling array of Amber Ball guests revelled in the magnificence of the Dorchester Hotel Ballroom. As always, the hotel pulled out all the stops, serving free-flowing champagne and a scrumptious menu.  Auctioneer Cristian Beadsman’s expert gavel came down on an eclectic selection of lots including (amongst others) an exclusive photoshoot in London or New York, an original Picasso lithograph and a bespoke hand-tailored suit, whilst art expert Jonty Hearnden was on hand to advise the art lovers keen to bid on the works in the silent auction

A treasure trove of prizes

Once again our amazing supporters donated prizes galore, including holidays in Bulgaria, Spain, Morocco and France, stays at renowned hotels such as Le Meurice in Paris, Fairmont St Andrews, Gleneagles and Fife Arms in Scotland, plus many of London’s top hotels (Savoy, Grosvenor House, etc.), top restaurant dinners, champagne afternoon teas, private boat charters… over 110 prizes went on the night! Keeping things jumping, party band Fake Tan had everyone up on the floor, rocking to the non-stop dance hits.

The event was managed by a hard-working group of volunteers, including staff from BTRC founder Wendy Fulcher’s company Spectra, with the invaluable assistance of 4 helpers from Barclays Bank‘s Fulham Broadway branch; party photographer Pellier Noir got the guests posing for posterity!
